DARIEN – Steven J. Kasprzak, age 51, of Darien found peace on Monday, December 14, 2015. He was born in West Allis, WI on March 29, 1964. Steve has a degree in classical bass from UW-Madison and performed with the Dubuque, La Crosse, and Madison Symphonies. He also performed with the Red Hot Dixie Band and the Kristy Larson Honky Tonk Trio Band. Under the name of Steven James, he provided professional musical entertainment for nursing homes and child care centers. Steve was also employed by Creative Tent Solutions in Delavan.

Steve is survived by his wife Connie; daughters, Leah, Marie, and Julia; stepchildren, Amanda Keizer, Joshua Keizer, and Kyle Keizer; step grandchild, Layne Keizer; mother, Patricia Aleksandrowicz Sellon (George); father, Gerald Kasprzak (Rosemary Murphy); brothers, Paul (Renee), David, Edward (Kimi), and Donald (Rebekah); sister, Lori Gatzke (Scott); and mother-in-law, Joanne Jones. He is further survived by Lisabeth Kasprzak, Jane Sybers, and numerous Sellon and Kasprzak relatives.  Steve is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert LeRoy Carmin; and a niece, Eloise “Ella” Kasprzak.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church, 3300 Mt. Zion Ave in Janesville. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan and an hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.   Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
