Cherie grew up in Highland Park, IL.  After meeting Rick in Fontana in 1977, they dated while she attended Northern Illinois University.  While at Northern, Cherie was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority, as well as a Playboy Bunny at the club in Lake Geneva, WI.  After graduating with her degree in Education, Cherie raised their three children, taught grade school and worked at Ackman Glass & Mirror.

In 2011, Cherie formed the Dining for Women Fontana Chapter (AKA Together Women Rise).  She received the Citizen of the Year award in 2013 from the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.  Additionally, she served as a Board Member of VIP Services, Walworth County.

Cherie’s greatest joy was her grandchildren.  She loved sharing her love of art with them. She would spend hours with them crafting, creating, molding and painting.  These are memories her grandchildren will hold close to their hearts forever.

From the time she was a little girl, Cherie was warm, gracious and had the kindest heart.  Not a day went by that someone didn’t compliment her on her beautiful curly red hair.  Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed by all who knew her.  Cherie had a life well lived.
