DELAVAN – Stuart D. Mohns, age 85, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at home. He was born on February 26, 1939 in Janesville to Doane and Lucille (Wetzel) Mohns. Stuart was united in marriage to Marilyn Holden on June 11, 1960 in Delavan. He worked for many years at Sta-Rite and then Pentair as a stock handler. Stuart was very active at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan and also was an active participant in many sports.
Stuart is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn; a son, Michael (Laura) Mohns, of Columbus, IN; two grandchildren, David (Rachael) Mohns, of Alaska, and Danielle (Josh) Carr, of Columbus, IN; four great grandchildren, Ryan and Nora Mohns and Paislee and Delaynee Carr; a sister, Sandra Reeb, of Oregon; two brother-in-laws, Warren Holden, of Delavan, and Wayne (Sue) Holden, of Delavan; and many nephews.
Stuart is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to Leader Dogs for the Blind or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
