William M. Kralovec

DELAVAN – William “Bill” M. Kralovec, age 81, of Delavan passed away on Friday,January 10, 2025 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn.  He was born on April 9, 1943 in Green Bay to Ervin and Eleanor (Johnson) Kralovec.  After graduating from University of Wisconsin Madison as a Mechanical Engineer he earned his license as a professional engineer. Bill was united in marriage to Karen Tiegs on June 18, 1966 in Milwaukee.  He worked for Sta-Rite from 1971 until his retirement in 2004.

The engineer in him carried over into his personal life. From early on he blended his love of creating things with his passion of kayaking and canoeing. He was a true entrepreneur, creating a business building carts to transfer kayaks and canoes from a vehicle to the lake. He would frequently be found kayaking, canoeing or camping and making memories with his family and grandchildren. Some of his other passions were wood carving, painting, black and white sketching, making canoe/kayak paddles, perfecting a speedy pinewood derby car, and creating jewelry out of coins.

Bill and Karen enjoyed their time in Door County and many travel excursions with family. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen; a daughter, Kristine (Robert) Nielsen, of Hartland; a son, Jeff (Jen) Kralovec, of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Alyssa, and Annika Nielsen and Amelia Kralovec; and a sister, Jane (Alexander) Abela, of CA.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John and Richard.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Road in Elkhorn.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.  Burial will take place at Sugar Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's association.
