Darien/ Allen Everett Erkfitz, age 77 of Darien, passed away Tuesday August 17, 2010 at his home. He was born April 25, 1933 in Walworth Wi., the son of Chris and Pearl (Gates) Erkfitz. He married Jeannette Voss March 26, 1955 in Delavan. Allen was a farmer for many years before working at Dean Foods in Chemung Il. until his retirement. He was a member of the Darien United Methodist Church. Allen had a passion for hunting and trapping during his life. He was a member of the Elkhorn Moose and Fairfield-Grange.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette of Darien; 2 daughters, Debbie (Quentin) Consoer of Janesville and Mary Beth (Dave) Bunnell of Greenville, Wi.. 1 son, Allen Jr. (Vickie) of Darien. 3 grandchildren, Tiana, Audrey and Karen. 1 sister, Carolyn (Bob) Caloun of Kingston, Wi.. Also nieces and nephews are surviving. He is preceded by 1 sister Lucille.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Friday August 20, 2010 at the Monroe Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Markley officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon to service time Friday at the funeral home. MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan is assisting the family.
