WILLIAMS BAY – Barbara A. Petersen, age 75, of Williams Bay passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Whitewater. She was born in Chicago on September 12, 1942 to Martin and Florence (Blegen) Berget.
Barbara is survived by two children, Dori (Richard) Bechtel, of Elkhorn, and Erik (Susan) Petersen, of Delavan; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Petersen, of Monroe, WI; and seven grandchildren, Rachael, Anna, Sarah, Jesse, Hannah, Benjamin, and Eleashah.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and a son, David.
Barbara A. Petersen was loving daughter and mother. She selflessly put her family's needs and those of others she cared for ahead of her own. She worked endless hours to provide a home with love and laughter. She found her strength in her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. You would often hear her say, "I am a strong Christian, Norwegian woman," when faced with trials. She will be deeply missed!
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Calvary Community Church, N2620 Harris Road in Williams Bay, WI Visitation is at 10:00 am. Service begins at 11:00 am, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Fairhaven Nursing Home (Whitewater, WI) for their loving care of our dear mother.
