Carl L. Davis, our beloved train-fan, music-man, love-so-amazing, star-gazing, radio-hamming oldies-jamming, bonsai-pruning, guitar-tuning husband/dad/grandpa/great-grandpa/brother, passed into the arms of Jesus on January 8, 2023.
Born on March 19, 1939, Carl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret M Davis, with whom he made a family: Son, Carl Robert and daughter-in-law Suzy; daughter Victoria Lynn and son-in law Joe; daughter Beverly Lynn; granddaughter Jessica Marie and grandson-in-law Ben; granddaughter Kelly Nicole; and great-grandsons Emmett Eugene and Nolan Lake. Carl is also survived by his good brother, Miles Davis.
Raised in Marion, Illinois, Carl made his way to Chicago where he met the love of his life, Margie, before settling in Schaumburg, IL. After serving his country in the Army and working with Local #9 Electrical Union, Carl retired from the village of Schaumburg in 1999 after 30 years of dedicated service as Manager of Building & Code Enforcement.
Carl was a highly moral, honest, hard-working, and respectful gentleman, who is now and forever, thriving in heaven.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
