DELAVAN – Clara R. Hibl, age 88, of Delavan passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. She was born on October 2, 1935 in Morton County, ND to Leo and Ann (Paul) Hellman. Clara married Tony Hibl in July 1953. Tony passed away on February 21, 2015. She was a hard worker and worked as a meat wrapper in North Dakota and Wisconsin.
Clara is survived by her children, Connie (Richard) Schultz, Curtis (Debbie) Hibl, Scott (Vicki) Hibl, Kevin (Arlene) Hibl; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Viola Bachler, Roz Mitchell, Geri (Jerry) Kexel, Bernie Oster and Karen De Franco; many nieces and nephews; and two girls that Clara called her daughters, Jane Wenzel and Tiffney Spoden.
Clara is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Shelley Chojnowski and Carla Jean Hibl; great grandson, Davin; 3 brothers, Edward, Adolf, and Ray Hellman; 5 brother-in-laws, Edward Bachler, Robert Mitchell, Thomas Zapp, Thomas Oster and Jerry De Franco; and sister-in-law, Barbara Hellman.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
