BELOIT – Claude “Fritz” Bowers, age 70, of Beloit passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born in Oregon, IL on May 2, 1951 to Riley and Irene (Good) Bowers. Fritz was united in marriage to Carol Johnson. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Fritz is survived by his children, Eric Bowers, of Beloit, and Angela Bowers, of Beloit; granddaughter, Faith Bowers, of Janesville; a brother, Riley Bowers Jr.; sisters, Lucille Free, Linda Zehnal, and Dolores Lilek; a half-brother, Don Georks; and many nieces and nephews.
Fritz is preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents; two brothers, Eddie, and Gene; two half-brothers, Dean and Robert Georks; and a half sister, Janet Georks.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva.
