Darrell W. Gleiter, age 81 of Allens Grove, WI, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home in Allens Grove, WI. He was born on September 18, 1932 in White, SD. The son of Annis and Vivian (Jensen) Gleiter. Darrell was united in marriage to Erma Gleiter on April 3, 1953 in North Carolina. Erma preceded in passing on December 4, 2006. He was a member of the Darien American Legion, loved his card games, deer hunting, and in being in the outdoors. Darrell served in the United States Army. He is survived by his daughters, Dawn (David) Schutt of Darien and Belinda (Martin) Tillotson of Janesville, sons, Darrell (Barbara) Gleiter of Janesville and Joseph (Mia) Gleiter of Williams Bay, one son-in-law, Kurtis Warren of Janesville, twelve grandchildren; Douglas, Taryn, Ravyn, Nicholas, Jeremy, Melissa, Tashia, Devin, Drew, Joshua, Sonya, and Jill, five great-grandchildren; Corey, Briseis, Gretchen, Mercedes and Luke. three sisters; Janette Meyers, Phyllis Loback, and Patricia (Richard) Teich, five brothers; Gustav (Shirley), Richard, Edward (Diane), Gerald, and Clifford, many nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in passing by his parents, his wife Erma, his daughter Barbara , his sister Lois, his brother Donald, and his grandson John McNally.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, WI. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.
