DELAVAN – Dionicio Gonzales, age 85, of Delavan passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan. He was born on March 22, 1938 in Encinal, TX to Rafael and Manuela Gonzales. Dionicio was united in marriage to Alvina Guzman and together they had 5 children. He loved music and played many things including guitar and accordion.
Dionicio is survived by his wife, Alvina; four children, Esmeralda (Richard) Casso, of Bishop, TX, Mitch (Ruby) Gonzales, of Delavan, Lupe (Jeannie) Gonzales, of Delavan, and Randy Gonzales, of Delavan; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dionicio is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, SanJuanita; three brothers, Manuel, Macario, and Juan Gonzales; and three sisters, Alvina Blanco, Isabel Hernandez, and Carolina Selvera.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
