ELKHORN – Donald L. Wolf, age 88, of Elkhorn passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. He was born in Shawano, WI on December 21, 1935 to Walter and Evelyn (Steinke) Wolf. Donald served in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to Gail Pett on August 13, 1960 in Elkhorn. Donald was a high school math teacher and coach for 36 years. He was a partner in ownership of Elkhorn Income Tax Service for 20 years and also owned and operated a summer painting business for about 12 years. Donald was also a director and treasurer of Holton Foundation for over 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, watching sports especially when his grandchildren were involved, and he loved to Polka.
Donald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gail; three daughters, Janet (Chris) Fendos, Karen (Peter) Hall, and Kathy (Dodd) Davey; and grandchildren, Torin and Taylor Fendos, Alex (Mariah) and Nick Hall, and Derek, Devon, and Drew Davey.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Evelyn; a sister, Pat Baumgartner; and a brother-in-law, Dave Baumgartner.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St. John’s Church, 104 S. Broad Street in Elkhorn with Pastor Tom De Groot officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Private Family Burial will take place at Hazel Ridge Cemetery in Elkhorn.
