ELKHORN – Donald P. Frieders, age 85, of Elkhorn passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his home in Elkhorn surrounded by his family. He was born in Aurora, IL on October 24, 1929 to Frank and Margaret (Wieler) Frieders. Donald was united in marriage to Patricia Phelps in Illinois on April 21, 1950. She passed away on March 20, 2011. He was a self-employed mason and contractor. Donald will be remembered as a hard working man. Donald is survived by four daughters, Chris (Mike) Breen, Kathy Frieders, Sandy Lake, and Sue (David) Miller; a son, Kevin Frieders; 4 grandchildren, Jamison, Jacob (Violet) Zachary (Jenny) and Haley; 4 great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Izzic, Kaleigh, and Kaytlyn; and three sisters, Dorothy Ingraham, Lois Curry, and Joyce (Dan) Dore, sister-in-law Janet Frieders and brother-in-law Ted (Norraine) Phelps and Leon Phelps. Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Pat; his parents; a sister, Audrey; three brothers, twin Dick, Jim, and John; brother-in-laws, Billy Curry, Gene Ingraham, Gene Weisbrook; and sister-in-laws, Rose and Joan.
