Dorothy Vander Veen, age 84 of Delavan Wi, passed away Saturday April 2, 2011 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wi.She was born April 20, 1926 in Prinsburg Minnesota, the daughter of Sam and Annie (Boersema) Korringa. Dorothy married Albert Vander Veen in Cicero Il. December 30, 1949. She was a home maker and a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Delavan, Wi., where she was an active member of the knitting club for charities.
She is survived by her husband Al of Delavan; 1 daughter, Phyllis Roossien of Grand Rapids Mi.; 3 sons, Alan Vander Veen of Whitewater Wi., Norm (Cheryl) Vander Veen of Delavan and Lyle Vander Veen of Delavan. 4 grandchildren; Stephen and Breanna Roossien and Brian and Jeff Vander Veen. 2 great-grandchildren; Kylie and Brinley. 1 brother; Neil Korringa of New Mexico. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Wednesday April 6, 2011 at the Christian Reformed Church in Delavan, Wi. with Rev. Dan Roeda officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am till time of service Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
