DELAVAN – Earl R. Chapin, age 93, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He was born on March 16, 1923 in Drummond, WI to Richard and Marie (Urn) Chapin. Earl proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage to Betsy Gant on July 20, 1947. Earl was in the construction industry for many years including owning and operating Chapin Construction. He also was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge.

Earl is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betsy; four daughters, Linda Bradley, of CA, Jackie (Robert Carlson) Haeft, of AZ, Cheri (Jerry) Haeft, of Delavan, and Tammy (Andy) Picard, of AZ; a son, Edward Chapin, of Delavan; 8 grandchildren, Kim, Josh, Tom, Melinda, Keith, Jayme, Kristin, and Phil; a sister, Sue Jorgenson; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Earl is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; a brother; and two son-in-laws, Thomas Haeft, and Robert Bradley.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
