DELAVAN – Eunice M. McSorley, age 91, of Delavan passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at her home in Delavan. She was born on June 30, 1923 the daughter of Dewey and Faye (Lepper) Bethel. Eunice was united in marriage to Harry McSorley on January 22, 1947 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. Harry passed away March 15, 2013. She was employed as a secretary for many years with several companies including the Alder Company in Delavan before retiring from Sunstrand Corporation in Rockford, IL. Eunice volunteered at the St. Andrew’s Food Pantry for many years and also belonged to the Delavan American Legion Post 95 Women’s Auxiliary.
Eunice is survived by her daughter Vicki (David) Krystowlak of CT; her son William McSorley of Oconomowoc, WI; 5 grandchildren; Abby, Jeff, Matt, Kevin and Kelsey; Son-in-law J. Bascom of Wauwatosa, WI; Sister-in-law Janice Watts of Delavan WI; and brother-in-law Donald McSorley of MO. Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; a daughter, Mary Sue Bascom; a brother, Donald Bethel; and a sister, Doris Gottschalk.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. WEDNESDAY April 29, 2015 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with Fr. Angel Anaya officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Delavan. MONROE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family.
