ELKHORN – Gerald E. Hinkelmann, age 87, of Elkhorn formerly of Delavan passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Frontida of Elkhorn. He was born in Loyal, WI on June 11, 1937 to Herman and Elsie (Schmidt) Hinkelmann. Gerald was united in marriage to Kay Schwemm in 1978 in Delavan. Gerald was known as someone who could fix anything.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Kay; daughter, Kim (Brian) Wheeler, of Elkhorn; grandchildren, Brynn (Josh), Rebecca, Emily, and Nathan; and three great-grandchildren, Karter, Bekett, and Griffin.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Gail; and nine siblings.
Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 starting at 11:00 A.M. at The Lakehouse, 10 W. Evergreen Parkway in Elkhorn. Memorials can be directed to Lakeland Animal Shelter or the Alzheimer’s Association.
