Gerald Laverne 'Bud' Griffin

Gerald Laverne 'Bud' Griffin,77, of Delavan, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Mission Hospital in Mission, TX. He was born on June 30, 1934 in Webster, WI, the son of Floyd and Helen(Olson) Griffin. On April 21, 1956 he was united in marrige to Lois Hanisch in Lake Geneva. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. Bud worked at U.S. Gypsum in Walworth for 39 years before retiring in 1989.

Bud is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois of Delavan and four sons: Gary Griffin, Delavan; Gerald Jr.(Karla) Griffin, Hillsboro; Jeffrey Griffin, Delavan; Timothy(Tammy) Griffin, Walworth. 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Donna Smith; 1 sister-in-law, Marilyn Desing and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters Lois Turner and Louise Johnson.

Bud was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Delavan. He enjoyed going to Texas every Winter, camping, and sports

A celebration of his life will be held at Luther Memorial Church, 910 Geneva St. Delavan, WI. on April 20, 2012 at 11:00am with Rev. Elisa Brandt. Visitation will be from 10:00am to service time on Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed towards Luther Memorial Church or the charity of your choice.
