DELAVAN – Gilbert “Gil” Valdez, age 80, of Delavan passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Osseo, WI. He was born in Texas on February 7, 1941. Gil was united in marriage to Cindy on July 7, 1979.
Gil is survived by his children, Sherry Valdez Cruz, of Lake Geneva, Becky (Jay) Boss, of Delavan, Penny (Tab) Mittlested, of MO, Gilbear, of Black River Falls, Codie (Frank) Valdez, of Wheeler; sisters, Evangelica Jung(Jesus Sanchez), Yolanda Cruz, Guadalupe Villanueva, of TX; brothers, Angelo (Riley) Guerrero, of TX and Earnie (Mya) Velasquez, of IL; cousin, Martha; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Gil is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy; son, Kenneth Heinrich, his parents, Jose and Camila Cruz; grandson, Christopher Cocroft; and niece Nikki Varela.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
