DELAVAN – Gloria Estelle Secor, 83, of Delavan, formerly of Fairfield Glade, TN, Somers, WI, and Neshkoro, WI passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. A Private Burial will be in the family plot at the Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha, WI. Mrs. Secor was born in Madison, WI on October 15, 1937, the daughter of Waldemar and Gloria (Marcher) Meldahl. On October 22, 1955 she married her childhood sweetheart, Walter John Secor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha, WI.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 65 years, Walter. Gloria was the proud and loving mother of two daughters, Diane Marie Secor Watson, of Kenosha, WI, and Donna Jean Secor (Ray) Crump, of Chesterfield, VA; two sons, Steven Charles (Lori) Secor of Hessel, MI, and Val Philip Edward Secor, of Elkhorn, WI; one granddaughter, Jamie Watson (Lucas) Jensen, of Wauwatosa, WI; three grandsons, Jon (Kristy) Watson, of Bristol, WI, Jacob (Emily) Secor, of Portage, WI, and Connor Secor, of Kenosha, WI; five great granddaughters, Brynn Patricia Jensen, Audrey Roxann Jensen, Eliza MacKean Jensen, Alice Marie Watson, and Anna MacKean Watson; a sister, Susan Minton (Steve) Prim, of Kenosha, WI; sisters-in-law, Marie (Philip) Meldahl, of Rockford, IL, and Kim (Charles) Meldahl, of Kenosha, WI; step-sister, Rita Simons (Julio) Santiago, of Milwaukee, WI; two step-brothers, Larry (Vivian) Simons, of Kenosha, WI, and Robert (Polly) Simons, of Wilmington, DE; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces; and her beloved dog, Katie.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her step-fathers, Frank L. Minton and Frank E. Simons; her three brothers, Waldemar Meldahl, of West Bend, WI, Philip Meldahl, of El Paso, TX, and Charles Meldahl, of Kenosha, WI; her nephew, Mark Meldahl, of El Paso; her brothers-in-law, Donald Secor, of Barstow, CA, William Terwall, of Barstow, CA, and Marvin Haubrich, of Bismarck, ND; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Endlich (Waldemar) Meldahl, Betty (William) Terwall, of Canyon Country, CA, Evelyn (Marvin) Haubrich, of Bismarck, ND, and Midge (Donald) Secor, of Victorville, CA; and step-sister, Joyce Simons March of Kenosha.
Gloria was a caring and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, neighbor, and friend. Her grace in the face of many health issues, her positive outlook, and her generosity of spirit will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family asks that instead of flowers, memorials be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Kidney Foundation. Please include Gloria’s name and address as well as your own.
