Harry Paul McSorley

Harry P. McSorley, age 90 of Delavan, Wi., passed away Friday March 15, 2013 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wi.  He was born March 4, 1923 in Delavan, Wi., the son of Benedict and Abbie (Goff) McSorley.  Harry was united in marriage to Eunice Bethel on January 22, 1947 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan.   Harry was a Delavan High Schol Graduate, where he lettered in all major sports while in school.  He remained an avid sports fan throughout his life.  He was the owner and operator of McSorley Groceries and Meats in Delavan for many years.  Then operated G & M Shop-Rite in Milwaukee, Wi. and finally he worked in sales for Milwaukee Biscuit Co. out of Rockford Il. before retirement.  He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan.  A Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of American Legion Post 95 in Delavan. He is survived by his wife Eunice of Delavan.  His daughter, Vicki (David) Krystowiak of Ct.   His son, Bill McSorley of Oconomowoc, Wi. 5 grandchildren; Abby, Jeff, Matt, Kevin and Kelsey.  His sister, Janice Watts and brother Don McSorley.  Son-in-law, J. Bascom.  Also many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Mary Sue Bascom.  2 brothers, Robert and Phil.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00am Thursday March 21, 2013 at St.Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan, Wi. with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30am to Mass time on Thursday at the church.  Burial will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by Post 95 of Delavan.  MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan, Wi. is assisting the family.  Visit us at monroefh.com
