Howard Niemuth, age 79, of Chicago passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. He was born in Chicago on February 13, 1942 to Arnold and Eleanor (Keller) Niemuth. Howard was united in marriage to JoAnn Weeks. Howard was active COR for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Sea Scouts units at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 1990 until 2016 and served as Round Table Commissioner in the Phoenix District and was District Commissioner for the Indian Boundary District. He received the Silver Beaver Award and had Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow. As a youth, in the Boy Scout Program he received the Explorer Silver Type 2 Award. He was a committee member at the Sea Scout Unit at St. Paul Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod). He was also a committee member for Immanuel Lutheran Church’s Youth Ministries.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. A ZOOM Memorial Service for Howard in April 2022 is being planned.
