DELAVAN – James A. Rommelfanger, 77, of Delavan passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn surrounded by his family.
He was born in Sheboygan on October 15, 1945 to Cletus and Jeanette Rommelfanger. James was united in marriage to Susan Gamroth on November 23, 1969 at Mother of Good Counsel in Milwaukee. Jim ran his own upholstery business in Harvard, IL for 28 years.
After Jim retired he enjoyed coloring beautiful pictures. Sue and Jim took vacations in their younger years. Jim was an active member of the Delavan Lions Club for 27 years. He was also an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.
James is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Cheryl, Green Bay, WI; 3 Grandchildren in Delavan, Rebecca (Joe) Logterman, John Corning, Caitlin Rommelfanger; his 2 bothers, Alan (Lenore), Jerry (BJ), and a sister-in-law Karyel Rommelfanger
James is preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Jeanette; his son Tim; and one brother, Roman.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Burial will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery.
