DELAVAN – James R. Baun, Sr. age 78, of Delavan passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at his home in Delavan. He was born in Arcadia, WI on May 1, 1940 to Phillip and Margaret (Hurda) Baun. James was united in marriage to Carol Thomas on January 28, 1961 in Delavan. He retired after 47 years at Sta-Rite in Delavan and owned and operated Baun’s Tooling in Delavan.
James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol; a daughter, Barbara (Marty Meyer) Sandfer, of Delavan; two sons, James Jr. (Shelia) Baun, of Delavan, and John Baun, of Delavan; two grandchildren, Courtney and Taylor; three great grandchildren, Lilly, Leo, and Miles; a brother, Phillip (Kathy) Baun, of MA; and nieces and nephews.
James is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Fred.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org.
