DELAVAN – James V. Schatz, age 66, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 doing what he loved the most, being outdoors hunting. He was born in Chicago on July 30, 1956 to Vincent and Lois Schatz. James proudly served in the U.S. Marines. He was united in marriage to Wendy (Schatz) Danielsen in Fontana in 1990. James loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.
James is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wendy; two daughters, Brandy (Gabriel) Gonzalez, of Delavan, and Elyse (Dustin) Hendrickson, of AZ; four sons, Vince (Alyse) Schatz, of Pell Lake, Steve (Kristy) Pozniak, of Buffalo Grove, IL, Joshua Danielsen, and Danny (Amanda) Payne, of Pell Lake; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren with one on the way; his parents, Vincent and Lois; two sisters, Karen (Brian) Caputo, of Aurora, IL, and Joannie (Mitch) Schatz, of FL; three brothers, David (Cathy) Schatz, of Buffalo Grove, IL, Tommy (Roxanne) Schatz, of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Joe Schatz, of Racine; many nieces and nephews; his pet fish, and pet cats, 17 year old Semper Fidelis, Lily, Fade, and Shiloh.
Funeral Services with military honors be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to the family.
