DELAVAN – Kenneth V. Solecki Jr., age 72, of Delavan went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at home. He was born on January 27, 1954 to Kenneth and Irene (Carver) Solecki. Ken was united in marriage to Candice Ervin in 1977 in Illinois. He was a police officer in Skokie, IL where he retired and later worked in finance and insurance. Ken was a media member of the Family Worship Center Church in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a muscle car enthusiast and loved working on his own vehicles. Ken loved his family dearly and spending time with them. He especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren about Jesus.
Ken is survived by his wife, Candice; a son, Michael (Maria) Solecki; two grandchildren, Joshua and Abigail; siblings, Mary Palermo, Rose Anne (Lawrence) Godbold, Christopher (Victoria) Solecki, Francis (Rosemary) Solecki, Joseph (Cindy) Solecki, Bernadette Moebus, Anne Martin, Patricia (Jeff) Alcorn, and Irene Solecki; sister-in-law, Becky Solecki; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Edmund.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at East Delavan Union Cemetery.
