Lenore H. Peterson, age 86 of Delavan, Wi., passed away Monday April 15, 2013 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, Wi. She was born January 10, 1927 in Mondovi, Wi., the daughter of Lyman and Agnus (Thorson) Franzwa. Lenore was united in marriage to Ned Peterson on December 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1983. She was employed as a Beautician at Delavan area salons for many years, then in the Racine area before becoming a home maker. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wi., where her and husband Ned were very active members. Lenore is survived by her daughter, Jane Wendt of Green Bay, Wi. 3 sons; Mark Peterson of Beloit, Wi., Steven (Diane) Peterson of Longmont, Co. and Thomas (Annabel) Peterson of Birmingham, England. 6 grandchildren; Terri Thompson, Doug Jarrett, Becky DuBois, Zachary Wendt, Miranda Wendt and Nathan Peterson. 3 great-grandchildren. 3 sisters; Jean Wittwer, Marlene Qualle, Nevada Franz. 1 brother, Lyman Franzwa Jr. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, husband Ned, grandchildren Lisa Peterson and Cameron Wendt. 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Memorial Services will be 11:00am Friday May 3, 2013 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wi. with Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday May 2, 2013 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, Wi. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
