DELAVAN – Marie E. Forsythe, age 72, of Delavan passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at her home in Richmond Township. She was born in Sugar Creek Township on November 25, 1941 to Alfred and Amy (Denne) Behrens. Marie was united in marriage to Phillip Forsythe on November 24, 1962 in Walworth, WI. She worked at Phoenix Middle School in the Delavan-Darien School District as a head cook for 31 years.
Marie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Phillip, of Delavan; three children, Phillip (Susan) Forsythe, of Mt. Vernon, OH, Diana (Jeff Mehling) Forsythe, of Okauchee, WI, and Jeff (April) Forsythe, of Darien, WI; three grandchildren, Sarah, Stacy, and Chelsie; and five siblings, Peter Behrens, of Lake Geneva, WI, Robert (Odessa) Dolan, of Bastrop, LA, Betty Sargent, of St. Germaine, WI, Margaret Minor, of Carthage, NC, and Lillian (Jacob) Greidanus, of Delavan. Marie is preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Behrens, Alfred Behrens, and Amanda Guitterez.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Monroe Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
