DELAVAN - Marilyn A. Hjelmberg, age 89, of Delavan passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee. She was born on October 3, 1934, in Chicago to John and Helen (Aderman) Latimer. Marilyn was united in marriage to Walter Haloup on June 5, 1954, in Chicago. He passed away on July 15, 1996. Marilyn married Allen Hjelmberg on July 29, 2000. Allen passed away on May 7, 2005. Marilyn enjoyed traveling to Maui, growing flowers, watching the Packers, and going to Panera. She was known to skip a meal and go right to the desserts.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, Jack Latimer; children, Mark (Maureen) Haloup, Ronald (partner Mary Feit) Haloup, Deborah (Scott) Martens, Jeff (Debbie) Hjelmberg, Larry Hjelmberg, Loren Hjelmberg, Shawna (Scott) Laskowski, and in-laws, Kara (Ron) Howard and Jon Martin; grandchildren Gerald, Josh, Jennifer, Cassie, Cole, Nathan, Amber, Ashley, Shawn, and Cora; 16 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Donald (Celeste) Hess.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Walter and Allen; and a sister, Delores.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery in Delavan. Memorials can be directed to the American Heart Association.
