Marilyn Fay Ingalls

Marilyn (Mickey) F. Ingalls, age 80 of Walworth Wi., passed away Monday March 12, 2012 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, Wi. She was born September 29, 1931 in Grand Rapids Michigan, the daughter of Howard and Evelyn (Eckert) Kautzman. Her father died while she and her sister were young. Her mother then married Robert Oberhofer. Robert already had 2 sons and Marilyn enjoyed talking about her wonderful step-brothers. While Marilyn was still attending Lee High School, her family moved to the northeast side of Chicago. Here she graduated from high school and started working at A.C. Nielson. Her stepfather later took a job in Burlington Wi. and she moved there with her parents. Marilyn met the love of her life there, Norman Ingalls on a blind date. They were married June 2, 1951 and lived on his family farm in Linn Township, where they had a daughter and a son. They later purchased some land next to Six Corners Rd. by Walworth where they built their own home.

She is survived by her son David (Kim) Ingalls of Colorado. Her grandchildren, Brandie and Gavin Ingalls of Delavan Wi. Her sister, Joan Whalen of Kansas. A stepbrother, Elmer Oberhofer of Grand Rapids, Mi. Her son-in-law, Keary Gallagher of Walworth Wi. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman and 1 daughter, Linda Gallagher.

No Services will be held at Marilyn's request. Internment of her ashes will be at Cobblestone Cemetery in Walworth Township. MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan Wi. is assisting the family.

Her family would especially like to thank the wonderful staff at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn for all the love and care they gave to Marilyn.
