ELKHORN – Mark M. Farris, age 86, of Elkhorn passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on March 13, 1934, to Gladstone and Jessie (Ludwig) Farris. Mark graduated with a Bachelor Degree from UW-Stevens Point and a Master’s Degree from Columbia University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mark was a school teacher in Racine for 34 years. After retirement he was a substitute teacher at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf.
Mark is survived by two sisters, Mary (Eugene) Stuneck, of Chapel Hill, NC, and Kathleen (Joseph) Van Schyndel, of Appleton, WI; his best friend, Roger Engelhardt, of Elkhorn; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Ethel (Robert) Heise.
Services will be held at a later date. A Private Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa, WI.
