DARIEN – Marlynn Eugene Baker, age 74, of Darien passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his home in Darien. He was born in Holmen, WI on January 22, 1941 to Benhard and Bernice (Lovell) Baker. Marlynn proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was united in marriage to Margie Coleman on September 12, 1964. He was a machinist for several years and was employed at Waukesha Specialties. Marlynn enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Marlynn is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margie; three children, Troy (Christine) Baker, of Elkhorn, Dawn (Patrick) Murphy, of Elkhorn, and Kelly (Nic) Stead, of Gurnee, IL; grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Cunningham, Jaclyn (Bradley) Seaman, Joshua (Bethany) Constable, Jeffrey Constable, Adam Baker, Tyler Thiele, Jonathon Stead, and Ashley Baker; great grandchildren, Abby, Ethan, Conner, Makena, Briella, and Bentley; siblings, Wally (Carleen) Baker, Phillip (Eleanor) Baker, Eleanor (Richard) Boll; and several nieces and nephews. Marlynn is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Berdella (Hugh) Standiford, Basil (Irene) Baker, Doris (Burl) Cramer, Bernetta (Lyfie) Gordon, Clayton (Pam) Baker, and Verda (Donald) Schuartzhoff.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
