Mary D. Bray, age 94, of Delavan, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. She was born in Sugar Creek Township on February 9, 1918, the daughter of John and Ida (Amble) August. Mary married William Bray on August 22,1942, she preceded him in death on April 11, 2004. She worked for Borg Instruments in Delavan, drove a school bus for Walworth Schools, and worked in the cafeteria at Big Foot High School in Walworth until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Moose Club of Janesville and her hobbies included dancing, euchre, and 500.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Nancy (John) Knapp of Janesville; 1 son, Roger Bray of Delavan; 2 grandchildren, Robert (Jodie) Knapp of Janesville and Brad (Elizabeth) Knapp of Kentucky, 1 twin sister, Marian Morse, 4 great grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin, Emily, and Jonathan, and sister in law, Hazel August.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; 2 sisters, Muriel Lindquist and Mabel Timm; 1 brother Henry August.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, on Monday, August 13, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Delavan, WI, with Rev. Mike Ida officiating. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
