DELAVAN – Mary Jean Madison, age 92, of Delavan passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. She was born July 6, 1924 in Milwaukee to John and Mildred (Kemmett) Thorpe. Mary Jean was united in marriage to Hobart Madison on July 16, 1947 in Delavan. Hobart passed away in 1984. Mary Jean belonged to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Delavan Service League, Delavan Lioness, and Post 95 American Legion Auxiliary.
Mary Jean is survived by four children, Sherry (Jim) Scheurell, John (Diane) Madison, Mark (Alina) Madison, and David (Anne) Madison; nine grandchildren, Dawn, Jeff, Scot, Jennifer, Tiffany, James, Patrick, Jenna, and Logan; and seven great grandchildren.
Mary Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Hobart; her parents; her brother, John; and an infant daughter, Ann Marie.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
