Michael Allen Nickels, 60, of Darien, Wi., passed away on Monday April 30, 2012, at Mercy- Walworth Medical Center in Lake Geneva. He was born in Elkhorn, Wi., on May 5, 1951, the son of Francis and Alva (Olsen) Nickels. He was a self employed carpenter in the area for many years. He was a passed member of the Darien Fire Dept. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, camping, and hunting with friends. Mike was an avid Packer fan.
He is survived by 1 daughter; Crystal (Dannon) James, of Germantown, Wi, 2 sons; Ronald Nickels, of Whitewater, Wi., and Robbie (Carrie) Nickels, of Madison, Wi. 3 grandchildren; Aidan James, Adriana and Austin Nickels. 3 sisters; Mary Ann Berve, of Darien, Wi, Pat (Oscar) Long, of Darien, Wi., Francene Nickels, of Madison, Wi. 2 brothers; Dan (Colleen) Nickels, of Darien, Wi, Joe (Laurie) Nickels, of Darien, Wi, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
