Myrtle Amelia (Ahrens) Stewart

Myrtle Amelia (Ahrens) Stewart, age 90, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Zachary, Louisiana.  She was born in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin on August 27, 1926 to William and Ella (Reinhard) Ahrens.  She lived, worked, and owned several popular supper clubs and coffee shops throughout Wisconsin and Illinois.  Myrtle was considered a good sport and was well known as one of the best waitresses in the region.  She was loved and admired by all who knew her and she will be truly missed.

Myrtle is survived by her twin daughters, Cheryl and Carol; three grandchildren, Gary, Christopher, and Tammy; eight great grandchildren; and four plus great great grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille, Irene, Ellen, and Judith; and many additional family and friends.  Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; two children, Terry and Gary; and a grandson, Tony.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan, WI.  A Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.  Burial will take place at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Harvard, IL at 1:00 P.M.
