DARIEN – Nancy A. Vance, age 72, of Darien passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at home. She was born in Beloit on May 17, 1950 to Harold and Betty (Karnes) McClellan. Nancy was united in marriage to Thomas Vance on March 15, 1969. She worked as a public safety dispatcher for Walworth County Sheriff’s Department. Nancy loved traveling around the U.S.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Tom; a daughter, Lori (Johnny) Taylor, of Darien; a son, David (Lena) Vance, of San Diego; grandchildren, Chalcie, Gary, Ashleigh, Andrew, Bethany, Logan, Emily, and Christopher; great grandchild, Adelynn; three sisters, Cindy Jacobson, Cathy McClellan, and Mary Jo Chatroop; a brother, Patrick McClellan; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Paulette; and a brother, Michael.
