Norbert Wilfred Brotz, age 87 of Delavan, passed away Wednesday June 8, 2011 at his home in Richmond Township.He was born September 25, 1923 in Richmond Township, the son of Herman and Lynda (Christensen) Brotz. Wilfred married Mary Krummen at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan in 1952. Wilfred owned and operated the family farm in Richmond Township for many years until his retirement. He was an active member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan. He was also a member of the Whitewater Lions Club, former member of the Richmond Township Board, former member Walworth County Board and former member of the Richmond Cemetery Board.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Delavan; his daughter, Beth Hicks of West Allis, Wi.; his 3 sons, John (Kim) of Delavan, Bruce (Norma) of Phillips, Wi. and Jeff of Delavan. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. he is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Ronald.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Saturday June 11, 2011 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wi. with Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4pm to 7 pm at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, Wi. Burial will be at Richmond Cemetery. Memorials to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
