Norene S. Nelson, age 76 of Delavan, Wi., passed away Saturday February 4, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn Wi. She was born February 5, 1935 in Watertown Wi., the daughter of Lorne and Dorothy (Reason) Joppa. Norene married Raymond Nelson August 7, 1954 in Delavan, Wi. and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1996. She was a loving Home Maker and a member of The Delavan United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Delavan-Darien Alumni Association.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Nelson. Her sons; Jeffrey (Patricia) Nelson of Malvern Pa. and Todd (Christine) Nelson of Ashburn Va. 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 2 sisters; Barbara (Gerald) Fisher of Janesville and Betty (Clinton) Wruck of Platteville. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00am, Wednesday February 8, 2012 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan Wi., with Rev. Stan Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
