DELAVAN – Peggy Jean Rockwell Gleich, age 69, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg. She was born in Elkhorn on August 14, 1945 to Franklin and June (Dunwiddie) Rockwell. Peggy worked for four years at UW Hospital as a Medical Secretary/Transcriptionist. She belonged to the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society, Walworth County Genealogical Society, and the Delavan Historical Society. Peggy also enjoyed crafts and needlework.
Peggy is survived by her children, Gregory Richard Edward (Michelle) Gleich, of Sun Prairie, WI, Patricia Elaine (Jeff Gill) Stindt, of Madison, WI, Timothy Eugene (Lori) Gleich, of St. Louis, MO, and Marie Updike, of Lakewood, CO; five grandchildren, Anthony, Nicolas, Donovan, Erin, and Evan; siblings, Julie (George) Folk, of Rush City, MN, and Roger (Jewel) Rockwell, of Oxford, WI; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Elmer Updike Sr, and best friend, Carol Widell. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bonnie Lou Rosencrans Phillips Callaway; a nephew, Daniel Folk; and a niece, Terri Lynn Rosencrans Klusken.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday July 2, 2015 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Darien Cemetery. A Reception will be held at the Delavan American Legion at 4:00 P.M. Memorials can be directed to the Delavan Historical Society or the Walworth County Genealogical Society.
