DELAVAN – Peter C. Krieger Sr., age 79, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Burlington Health and Rehab. He was born in Chicago on September 22, 1944 to Karl and Helen (Slaby) Krieger. Pete was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and was an active member of the Delavan Chamber of Commerce. He was also a big supporter of the Special Olympics, VIP, and Lakeland School. Pete’s Porting Service was his life and he was one of the best anywhere in his trade. Pete was instrumental in establishing the Delavan Car Show, now known as the Cars That Time Forgot. He was a friend of the Brew City Gassers and a longtime sponsor of the Green Kontraption Racing Team. His inspiration and knowledge was appreciated by many friends and he will be missed by his many racing friends and fans. Peter was a loving and caring father to his children.
Peter is survived by his children, Peter Krieger Jr., of Hoffman Estates, IL, Karl Krieger, of Delavan, and Victoria (Roger) Dye, of New Mexico; and a sister, Katherine Emma.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to Lakeland School or the Walworth County Special Olympics.
