Randy James Ehlers, 67, of Delavan, WI passed away peacefully Sunday morning January 24, 2021 in the home he shared with his life partner Debora Conrad.

Although born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on January 18, 1954, Randy grew up in Bohners Lake, WI. As a youth, he also enjoyed spending many summers in the backcountry of Minnesota with his grandparents and numerous cousins.

In 1971, Randy voluntarily enlisted in the Army at the age of 17. He was stationed in Korea and Panama with the BTRY B 22nd Field Artillery and was in charge of an M114 155mm Howitzer. During this time, Randy received 3 service medals: National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Korea Defense Service Medal.

Randy spent many satisfying years working for Bassett Ready Mix. His favorite pastimes were trips to Minnesota, hunting, fishing, and the Green Bay Packers. In addition to these activities, he will be remembered for his sense of humor, jokes, strong work ethic, and unfailing devotion to his partner.

He is survived by his sister Kim Ehlers and honorary sister Donna Ryan; daughter Shelley (Arthur) Sparks; grandchildren Samantha (Jason) Bixby, Chrystal (Josh) Sparks, Sabrina, Austin, Kaylee, Shania, Noah; great-granddaughters Bella Bixby and his sweet Sofia. He also leaves behind nieces, great nephews, cousins and many more that will miss him greatly. Randy is preceded in death by his parents Ronald Ehlers and Lorraine (Newman) Ehlers, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial celebrating Randy's life will be announced at a later date.
