ELKHORN – Richard “Dick” West, age 80, of Elkhorn passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn. He was born on February 1, 1946 in Watertown, WI to Percy and Mena (Berkvam) West. Dick was united in marriage to Kathryn Burke on August 3, 1974. Dick worked as an art teacher for the Delavan School District and was the soccer coach for many years. He also volunteered at the Salvation Army and Food Pantry. Dick was an avid card player.
Dick is survived by his wife, Kay; two sons, Andrew (Gerren) West, of Naples, FL, and Aaron (Shana) West, of Genoa City; three grandchildren, Dakota (Rose), Kailei, and Elynor; two great grandchildren, Jasper and Rune; a brother, Donald West, of Watertown; and a sister, Marjorie Reichardt, of Watertown.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim.
Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Friday at the church.
