Richard George Gramse

DELAVAN –Richard George Gramse, age 79, of Delavan passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home. He was born in Chicago on June 10, 1935 to Arthur and Margaret (Braun) Gramse. Richard was united in marriage to Nancy Lachmann on June 28, 1958. He will be remembered as a quiet, kind, soft-spoken man. Richard enjoyed Sudoku puzzles, bowling, and watching friends and family enjoy the lake house. Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy; four children, Susan (Larry) Laesch, of Villa Park, IL, Richard K. (Julie) Gramse, of Lake Geneva, Thomas (Carole) Gramse, of East Dundee, IL, and Donald (Han Garza) Gramse, of South Elgin, IL; seven grandchildren, Kelly Laesch (Bryan Meredith), of Villa Park, R. Steven Gramse, of Lake Geneva, Doug Gramse, of Hillside, IL, Melissa Gramse, of AZ, Alex Laesch (Vanessa Gallt) of Hillside, IL, Kate Gramse (Octavio Cardenas), of Dundee, IL, and Danielle Gramse, of DeKalb, IL; and 3 great grandchildren, Isabella Cardenas, Nathaniel Gramse, and Addison Meredith; a sister, Marlene Straub, of MD; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street in Delavan with Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
