Robert L. White, age 89 of Delavan, Wi., passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at the home of his daughter in Humbird Wi. He was born August 11, 1921 in McCool Junction, Nebraska, the son of Bernard and Adella (Mickow) White. Robert married Betty Jane Junge July 25, 1951 in McCool Junction Ne. She preceded him in death May 12, 2011. He was employed at Tracy and Sons Farms in Avalon Wi. for 20 years and farmed indepentently in the Wisconsin area for many years. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Delavan. Robert was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corp. during W.W.II serving in Italy where he received the Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service.
He is survived by his daughters; Jennifer (Fred) Doane of Lake Geneva Wi. and Mary Beth (Peter) White-Jacobs of Humbird Wi. His sons; Douglas (Nancy) White of Lake Forrest, Ca., Brian (Dawn Wollslair) White of Delavan and Jeffrey (Susan) White of Savannah Ga. 9 grandchildren; Michael (Fiance-Maggie Smith), Amanda (Jonathan) Fink, Cory, Molly, Emily, Miranda, Megan, Lindsey and Addie. 6 great-grandchildren; Angelina, Alex, Katie, Kenny, Jordan and Jack. His brother, Gene (Marie) White of Ohio and his sister, Kathryn Radcliff of Washington. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00am Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Delavan Wi. with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Delavan Township with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Robert.
