DELAVAN – Robert Thomas Slavin, age 86, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan. He was born in Walworth, WI on December 30, 1928 to George and Catherine (Gleason) Slavin. Robert earned a Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years as a teacher in the Aurora, IL School System. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Robert is survived by a sister, Isabel Donahue, of Janesville; six nephews; and two nieces. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary and Lucille; and a brother, Thomas.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave. with Fr. Michael Dineen officiating.
