Rodney "Rocky" L. Griffin, age 65 of Delavan, WI, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on November 4, 1948 in Chicago, IL. The son of John and Iva Lee (McIlwain) Griffin. Rodney was united in marriage to Nancy Gottstein on November 4, 1966 in Chicago, IL. He spent his working career as a Die Maker in Chicago, then in the Delavan area before his retirement. Rodney served in the United States Army. He was a member of Legion Post 95, and an avid Chicago Bears, White Sox, and Blackhawk fan. Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of Delavan, his son, Derek Griffin of Delavan, his best friend, Wrigley, one sister, Susan, two step-sisters, Tina and Debbie, one brother, John, three step-brothers; Bobby, Roy Lee, and Timmy, his mother, Iva Lee of Alabama, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, John.
Committal Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legion Post 95 of Delavan, WI.
