DARIEN – Russell E. Cords, age 54, of Darien passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at home in Darien. He was born in Harvard, IL on April 3, 1966. Russell was united in marriage to Sharon Erb. He worked for many years as a metal fabricator and area lead at Dalco Metals in Walworth.
Russell is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons, Justin Cervantes and Seth Erb; his mother and father, Geri Crowell and Harry Cords; three sisters, Penny Cannegieter, Judy Hawes, and Robin Engle; and nieces and nephews, Keith, Robert, Amanda, Ben, Susan, and David.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. The family wishes to give special thanks to neighbors Shawn and Kay Clow, Heartland Hospice, and Dalco Metals.
