DELAVAN – Shirley M. Yazbec, age 89, of Delavan passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at her home in Delavan surrounded by her family. She was born in Peru, IL on February 19, 1926 to Leo and Johanna (Lindenmeyer) Schultz. Shirley was united in marriage to William Yazbec Sr. on January 11, 1947 in Peru, IL. He passed away on June 5, 1990. Shirley was a longtime member at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Shelley (fiancé Dominick Dalitto) Wood, of AZ, Cindy (Henry) Blazer, of Darien, and Robin (Jimmy) Regan, of Delavan; a son, William Jr. (Lissie) Yazbec, of Delavan; six grandchildren, William III, David, Ellen, Brian, Bruce, and Matt; 8 great grandchildren, Caleb, Noel, Hayden, Katie, Alex, Will, Riley, and Zoey; and a son-in-law, Ronald Larson, of Delavan. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; a daughter, Becky; three sisters, Lois (Tony) Quartucci, Claire (Wayne) Batchelder, and Jean (Calvin) Monroe; and a brother, Merle Schultz.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
