DELAVAN – Stephen H. Gonzalez, age 40, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his home in Delavan. He was born in Elkhorn on January 26, 1978 to Harvey and Gerda (Vette) Gonzalez. He umpired Delavan baseball games. Stephen was an avid sports fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest love was for his kids.
Stephen is survived by his daughters, Madelyn, Emma, and Amelia; his mother, Gerda (Dave) Vette Lyons, of Delavan; his father, Harvey (Dawn) Gonzalez, of Delavan; a sister, Amy (Dexter) Chambers, of Delavan; brothers, Nieves (Sharon) Gonzalez, of Delavan, Pepe (Rebecca) Gonzalez, of Mosinee, WI, Michael (Morgan) Gonzalez, and Danny Gonzalez; nieces and nephews, Deven Chambers, Eric and Katelyn Gonzalez, and Abigail, Alyson, and Amber Gonzalez, and Cash Gonzalez; and also special to Stephen were Trent and Hannah.
Stephen is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for his children. Memorials can be directed to the Gonzalez Girls Memorial Fund at Advia Credit Union.
